This class is offered in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension Office.

Throughout the week, kids will explore the essential parts of a story—characters, setting, plot, conflict, and resolution—through engaging activities, group discussions, and hands-on writing exercises. Students will develop their own unique stories, illustrate their books, and even take home a finished copy to share with family and friends!

Healthcare Career Exploration

Students will explore various careers in healthcare including Dental Assisting, Health Information Technology, Paramedicine, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiologic Technology and Sonography, Nursing and Respiratory Therapy. Spend time in each program and have the option for extra time with the program of your choice. This course will be held in the Nursing Education Center and is made possible with support from the PATH Grant.  Lunch will be provided.
