Ready to go beyond the basics? In this hands-on class led by a ASE automotive instructor, students will explore what’s really under the hood. Learn to identify key engine components, then see them up close on a real vehicle. Participants will also practice safely jacking up a car, removing tires, and examining brake systems, wheels, and tires. A perfect next step for students interested in cars, mechanics, or real-world skills!

Emergency Medical Responder BSC 7126 VA01W

An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course provides foundational training to perform immediate, lifesaving medical care. It teaches students to assess patients, manage trauma and medical emergencies, and assist higher-level EMS personnel before an ambulance arrives.
This hybrid course will meet in person at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Education Center on the following Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
July 11 & 25 and August 8 & 22 The remainder of the course work will be online.
Sun Prints: Exploring Cyanotypes, ages 7-13 yrs CKICK-5278-NS01D

Discover the magic of cyanotypes! Print flowers, leaves, other natural objects, and drawn images with sun-sensitive paper. Students will have the opportunity to gather objects, create compositions, and watch their print develop when exposed to UV light. Once dry, students have the option of creating a mixed media cyanotype, adding to their print with watercolor, paint pes, and other drawing materials. Students will leave the camp with their own unique prints.

Getting Started in Computer Forensics Career Exploration Camp
1 day class Thursday July 9 from 9:00am to 12:00pm Kaskaskia College Main Campus
Participants will learn to operate advanced digital forensic software while working through a simulated arson investigation. In this hands-on summer boot camp, students will analyze digital evidence to determine whether a suspect is responsible for the current arson charges and uncover any additional criminal activity.
Using professional computer forensics tools, participants will explore how investigators recover and interpret data to reconstruct user activity and build a case from digital evidence.
