Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS COED 5998 VA01D
with Travis Field
For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, critical care/intensive care, and surgery such as Physicians, Nurses, and Paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for a job or other requirement. Textbook is included.
Current Basic Life Support Certification is required.
This course is offered through a workforce training grant from the Illinois Community College Board that helps offset the cost of training.

Dig into discovery at our Gardening Camp for Kids, where young learners grow their knowledge from the ground up! This hands-on workshop introduces campers to the wonders of gardening while blending science, creativity, and outdoor fun. Kids uncover the fascinating layers beneath their feet. They’ll create their own mini terrariums, plant a variety of vegetable and flower seeds, and learn how plants grow both in soil and hydroponic systems. Along the way, campers will also discover the important role bees play in pollination and why they are essential to our environment. With plenty of opportunities to dig, plant, build, and explore, plus delicious garden-themed snacks to enjoy, this camp is the perfect way to inspire curiosity and a love for nature. Campers will leave with new skills, hands-on projects, and a deeper appreciation for the world growing all around them!

Enjoy two experiments during this class. The first will explore fundamental principles of basic engineering, electrical circuits, and physics to build your very own robot! Students will learn about a variety of concepts, like friction, balance, and the practical application of technology while putting their robots to the test in different playful challenges. In next hands-on-activity, students will learn about the structure of a plant cell. We will explore the functions of the different components of a plant cell. Students will use a variety of objects to create their own plant cell model that can be taken home! Space is limited, so register early!

Students will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard dispatch software, learn emergency communication protocols, and develop the critical decision-making skills needed in high-pressure situations.

Automotive Technology Career Exploration For Ages 13–18
Ever wondered what’s happening under the hood when a car starts—or doesn’t? In this hands-on automotive class, you won’t just learn about cars, you’ll work on them. You’ll explore real engines, identify key parts, and finally understand how everything connects to make a vehicle run. We’ll get into the shop, lift cars safely, and break down real-world problems like dead batteries, flat tires, and no-start issues so you know what’s really going on. If you like hands-on work, problem-solving, or want real skills that matter, this class is your chance to jump in and get started. Lunch will be provided.
Each student will receive safety glasses, work gloves, and a pocket screwdriver to use during class and take home afterward.
Farmyard Fun: From Animals to Product, ages 5-9 yrs CKICK 5422 TR01D

Children will explore farm animals and their products through a fun coloring wheel craft. Activities include milking a mock cow, picking cotton, egg collecting, pig slop food fun, and creating thumbprint bees, all while learning about the animals' roles on the farm!

CLASS FULL! Welding Career Exploration COED 5005 CR01D

Step into the welding lab and ignite your creativity. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of welding ranging from safety and equipment to striking your first arc. Students will work side-by-side with experienced instructors building their very own BBQ grill. Throughout this workshop, students will gain real world skills while having the satisfaction for creating something from start to finish.
