Students must have basic computer and internet skills and be able to access their email from outside their home. Please note: this is not a basic computer or internet class. You’ll learn how to use ChatGPT to save time, boost productivity, and get help with everyday tasks—from writing and research to planning and problem-solving. No prior experience with AI is required.

The Essential Workplace Skills Seris is made possible by a grant from the Illinois Community College Board to advance Workforce Training.  

Stressors at work create opportunities to rethink our responses and habits. In this session, identify challenges in your professional life and what contributes to them. Adopt strategies such as a proactive mindset and what-if thinking to anticipate problems before they arise. Grow your emotional intelligence to improve encounters with peers, supervisors, and customers. Explore how attending to your whole self affects your professionalism and career path. Leave with an action plan that promotes resilience in the face of workplace demands.

Learn to use your sourdough for various goodies.  Not just good for bread!  Students will leave with all they need for a sourdough start.  An additional $15.00 supply fee is due to the instructor at start of class.
