Are you curious about what it’s like to be a teacher or work in early childhood education? Join us this summer for an exciting and hands-on camp experience designed for aspiring educators!
This unique camp explores Early Childhood Education and Teacher Education. Campers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the teaching profession. Campers will discover what a typical day in the life of a teacher looks like, learning how to get started in the field, and explore the skills and knowledge needed to inspire the next generation of learners.
Whether you're dreaming of working with young children or teaching in our schools, the camp provides valuable insight, practical guidance, and interactive activities to spark your passion for education.

Students will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard dispatch software, learn emergency communication protocols, and develop the critical decision-making skills needed in high-pressure situations.

Step into the world of beauty and creativity with our Cosmetology Career Exploration event, held in the state-of-the-art Beauty Lab at Kaskaskia College! This hands-on experience is perfect for students curious about the fast-paced, ever-evolving cosmetology industry.
Participants will get the chance to practice real cosmetology skills, including a hands-on introduction to an array of skills, guided by experienced professionals and instructors. Along the way, they’ll learn what it takes to succeed in the cosmetology program at Kaskaskia College and what to expect from a career in this dynamic field.

Emergency Medical Responder BSC 7126 VA01W

An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course provides foundational training to perform immediate, lifesaving medical care. It teaches students to assess patients, manage trauma and medical emergencies, and assist higher-level EMS personnel before an ambulance arrives.
This hybrid course will meet in person at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Education Center on the following Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm
July 11 & 25 and August 8 & 22 The remainder of the course work will be online.

Getting Started in Computer Forensics Career Exploration Camp
1 day class Thursday July 9 from 9:00am to 12:00pm Kaskaskia College Main Campus
Participants will learn to operate advanced digital forensic software while working through a simulated arson investigation. In this hands-on summer boot camp, students will analyze digital evidence to determine whether a suspect is responsible for the current arson charges and uncover any additional criminal activity.
Using professional computer forensics tools, participants will explore how investigators recover and interpret data to reconstruct user activity and build a case from digital evidence.
